Two research scholars from the CLC-Lab at IIIT Kottayam, Navneeth Sreeenivasan and Preveena K V, have been selected for the prestigious IndiaAI PhD Fellowship. The IndiaAI PhD Fellowship is a flagship initiative aimed at supporting high-quality doctoral research in Artificial Intelligence across India.
Navneeth’s research project, “Ontology Driven Translation of Indian Classical Dance Postures using Machine Learning,” explores the intersection of cultural knowledge systems and AI.
Preveena’s work, titled “Biologically Interpretable AI Models Embedding Domain Knowledge for Transparent Biological Discovery,” focuses on developing interpretable AI frameworks for biological data analysis.
In a remarkable achievement, 7 out of 10 proposals submitted from IIIT Kottayam were selected for the fellowship, doubling the joy and pride of the institute.
